OUR HISTORY

Bijou Motor Services was founded by Bev Price in 1974, as a Citroën specialist workshop, named after the English-made Citroën Bijou car. The business was moved to the present location in Cwmcarn in 1982.

In 1993, the garage achieved accreditation to BS5750 Quality Standard, which later evolved into ISO9000. As a result of this achievement and the dedication of its staff the business established its reputation for high quality workmanship and service.

Following requests from our customers to extend our scope to include Peugeot vehicles, year 2000 brought accreditation to the International Quality Standard, ISO9001 for both Citroën and Peugeot.

BIJOU MOTOR SERVICES TODAY

Our experienced automotive team is led by our garage manager, John Lewis, who joined us in 1989. John deals with all our customer enquiries and ensures customers' orders and expectations are met. Our motor vehicle technicians are Andrew Roberts and Rod Parry, both of whom joined us in 1991. Accounting and other services are provided by Mike O'Leary and Bev Price FIMI.

From January 2010, the scope of our operations was expanded to include servicing and repair for Renault vehicles. The same long-established high standard of customer service and workmanship as we provide for our Citroën and Peugeot clients is now provided for Renault customers. The assurance of ISO9001 quality management applies to all three makes at Bijou.

Bijou provides servicing, mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repair and diagnosis for Citroën, Peugeot and Renault vehicles. MOT Testing is conducted using our own testing facility. Nearly all our clients are private motorists.

All our business activities are controlled and underpinned by our highly-effective use of the most up-to-date International Quality Standard, ISO9001:2008 and our quality management processes are subject to regular verification by National Quality Assurance.
